Bill Kovacs is a Senior Engineer in the Labs and Testing Group of DNV Energy Systems. Mr. Kovacs' professional experience is currently focused on project management for sour service materials qualification; specifically focusing on environmentally assisted cracking of CRAs in sour environments, and at elevated temperatures and pressures. Mr. Kovacs is currently volunteering with AMPP (formerly NACE) on the Maintenance Panel for NACE MR0175 and is also on the Rewrite Drafting Committee (RDC) working on the next version of ISO 15156 / NACE MR0175. Mr. Kovacs has been with DNV since 2005. Prior to joining DNV, Mr. Kovacs obtained expertise with materials characterization as a researcher for the Ohio State University and while employed at two process control laboratories for companies in Columbus, OH. Mr. Kovacs is a Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio (License # 76248) and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from The Project Management Institute (License # 2215003).
