Dr. Will Pettitt is Executive Director of Geothermal Rising, a non-profit professional and trade association that was established in the U.S.A. in 1972 and today has over 1200 individual members in 44 countries and over 80 corporate members. Geothermal Rising champions the use of Earth’s heat in society’s energy mix, and all the people who make that use possible. Will is an applied geophysicist expert in subsurface science and geomechanics. Before leading Geothermal Rising, he managed consulting companies in Minneapolis and the United Kingdom. Dr. Pettitt has a B.Sc. in Geophysics from Liverpool University and a Ph.D. in Applied Seismology from Keele University, both in the United Kingdom.
