Dr. Sunder Ramachandran is a Technology Advisor for Baker Hughes Oil Field Services Chemicals Technology Division. He has a Ph D. in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University. Dr. Ramachandran had been with Baker Hughes from 1996 to 2014. He was briefly with Aramco Services Company from 2014 to December 2015 and rejoined Baker Hughes in January 2016. He is involved in developing corrosion inhibitors to prevent corrosion of low alloy carbon steels in a variety of challenging oil field environments. He has also been involved in the development of chemical methods for unloading liquids from gas wells, and the development of new hydrogen sulfide scavengers. Dr. Ramachandran received the Distinguished Service Award from NACE in 2019 and the Technical Achievement Award from NACE in 2020.
