Sigrun Nanna Karlsdottir is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Iceland. She did her B.S. degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in 2003 from the University of Iceland and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in the USA in 2007.
Research focus:
- Material performance in challenging environments, specifically regarding corrosion and scaling in geothermal environments;
- Projects in national and international collaboration includes corrosion studies of coatings in high-temperature geothermal environments and research on corrosion behaviour of corrosion-resistant alloys in simulated high temperature deep geothermal environments;
