He works on analytical development of isotopic tracers and implementation of these isotopic tools in relation to water/rock interactions at high and low temperature, the field of mineral resources, and the identification of metallic pollutants in the environment. He has published 75 scientific articles (18 as first author, H-Index 35) concerning weathering budgets and erosion processes, thermo-mineral waters, geothermic, mineral resources and raw materials, and development of new analytical tools in the isotope geochemistry domain.
Since joining BRGM in 2003, Romain Millot has been heavily involved in diverse national and international research projects in partnership notably with ADEME, ANDRA, Water Agencies, AquaTERRA, EIT Raw Materials etc..
