Nathan Lockwood is a design and development engineer who has spent the entirety of his 8-year professional career with Baker Hughes. He specializes in drill bit design and has contributed to the development of several key technologies over the years. Although he provides application and design support for areas throughout the world, his primary focus is the Asia Pacific region where geothermal drilling is prevalent. His hybrid drill bit design work directly contributed to the record-breaking geothermal wells completed in Japan last year which would not have been possible otherwise due to delays associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. As the energy industry evolves, Nathan is committed to the continuous development of highly efficient drilling technologies.
