Nagasree Garapati

Dr. Nagasree Garapati is a Visiting Assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at West Virginia University. Dr. Garapati received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University and her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Dr. Garapati did her Post Doctorate in Department of Earth Sciences at University of Minnesota and also visited ETHZ- Zurich as an Academic Scholar. Her research interests include multi-scale modeling of unconventional and renewable energy resources like Gas hydrates and Geothermal Energy, and carbon sequestration. Dr. Garapati is the PI for the recently funded DOE-GTO geothermal project to analyze potential of deep direct-use geothermal in West Virginia by drilling an exploratory well to 15,000 ft.
