Dr. Kai Gao is a geophysicist at the Geophysics Group, Earth and Environmental Sciences Division, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). He worked as a postdoc from 2014 to 2019 at LANL, and as a staff scientist from 2020 at LANL. He specialized in seismic modeling, full-waveform imaging and inver-
sion, and scientific computation. He has participated several DOE-funded research projects on geophysical characterization of complex geothermal researvoirs and geological carbon storage reservoirs.
