Dr. Christina Morency is a geophysicist specialized in computational seismology, acoustic, elastic, poroelastic, and electromagnetic wave propagation modeling and inverse problems in complex media, to better image and investigate the subsurface in the context of energy, security, and environmental issues. She has 15 years of expertise in spectral-element and adjoint inverse methodologies. She joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2011.She currently serves as the principal investigator of the project SEE4GEO: Seismoelectric Effects for Geothermal Resources Assessment and Monitoring. This project is subsidized through the Cofund GEOTHERMICA by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, under Contract DE-AC52-07NA27344 with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency, and by the Research Council of Norway.
