Geothermal Rising Workshop: Lessons and Challenges from Field Projects

This participation-focused workshop is intended for those entering the geothermal discipline and those with extensive background who appreciate that there are challenges that remain. Speakers and facilitators will outline their specific experiences and learnings and challenge the audience to consider new or alternative solutions. The three broad domains for consideration are drilling and well construction; completion and stimulation; and operations. Topics of interest include:

Scaling Up: What are the technical, financial, and geologic constraints on developing business opportunities for operators and service companies?

Technology Transfer: What technologies can be adopted from other industries to improve geothermal economics?

Newer Technologies: What are the technological opportunities and challenges for newer technologies (low temperature applications, microgrid applications, closed loop systems, EGS)?

All times are Pacific Daylight Time
