Emilie Gentry is a skilled, motivated structural geologist with a diverse background in research, exploration, and petroleum geology. She is experienced with six years of self-driven structural geology research and three years in oil and gas exceling at development, exploration, reservoir characterization and regulatory affairs management. Emilie’s passion for geothermal energy was shaped by studying in Iceland where she gained hands-on experience focused on the science and technology behind renewable energy. This experience enhanced innovative thinking and problem-solving for real-world problems; moreover, it instilled an excitement to seek out the adventure of technology and science in geothermal energy.
Emilie received her MSc in Geology and Colorado School of Mines and has a BS in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, Emilie is leading the Denver Geothermal Community to promote professional discussions and give momentum to geothermal energy and is a member of WING. Emilie is eager to begin her career as a leading, innovative geosycientist in geothermal energy
