Pierre Cerasi is a Senior Scientist at the Formation Physics group at SINTEF. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Paris and has 20 years of experience in petroleum-related rock mechanics. Over the last decade, he has focused his interests on geomechanics of carbon storage. He has led many research projects on borehole stability, formation damage, well integrity and geomechanics modelling, specializing on designing laboratory experiments to explore CO2 effect on mechanical properties of reservoir and caprock. He has co-authored more than 20 scientific papers and been active in organizing and chairing conference sessions around the world.
