The Nevada Division of Minerals is the State Regulatory Agency for the drilling, completion, and maintenance of all geothermal wells drilled in Nevada. The Governor’s Office of Energy oversees energy programs required through statute and those that help to ensure the wise development of Nevada's energy resources in harmony with local economic needs. Bureau of Mines and Geology is responsible for the analysis, information, and exchange on Nevada’s geology and natural resources.
